Chapter Six

Andrea didn’t want to leave this bed. She didn’t want to take a shower. She didn’t want to get dressed. And no matter how horrible she felt over it, she definitely didn’t want to go back to her hotel to meet her friends and grab her suitcase. Doing all that meant she had to go back home.

And she really didn’t want to do that.

Last night with Luke had been…amazing. They had a fabulous dinner at a very expensive restaurant where she drank a few too many cocktails and ate the most delicious meal ever. Luke stayed glued to her side the entire time in the booth, his thigh pressed to hers, his mouth seeming to find hers when she least expected it. Those drugging kisses he delivered should come with a warning. The way he looked at her, like she was the prettiest woman in the entire world, went straight to her head. Made her feel special. Like she mattered to him.

Stupid.

Then there was that one moment, when he slipped his hand beneath the skirt of her dress and toyed with her? His fingers finding her wet and warm flesh, the wicked smile on his face when she sent him an evil glare that turned into a helpless moan in seconds. He made her come in the middle of the restaurant, surrounded by tons of people. So hot. Almost as hot as when he brought her to orgasm in the lingerie store.

Not to mention when they returned to his hotel suite. How many more times could she come without falling completely apart? Her entire body ached, her muscles were sore and her head was…empty. Blissfully, wonderfully empty.

Hmm. Well, that was a bit of an exaggeration because currently her head was filled with worrisome thoughts of leaving Luke.

She didn’t want to. Not at all.

“Hey.” He shifted to his side, facing her so he could pull her into his arms. “You should probably jump in the shower.”

He was so thoughtful, taking care of her. She’d told him last night what time her flight was. He didn’t want her to be late.

Or maybe he wanted to get rid of her…

“I don’t want you to leave,” he murmured against her forehead, kissing her there. “Can’t you stay here one more night? With me? I don’t leave until Monday.”

Okay, so he didn’t want to get rid of her. He was so sweet. So hard to resist. “I wish.” She pulled away slightly so she could look up at him and meet his gaze. “I have to be at work tomorrow.”

Luke frowned, and she reached up, tracing her fingers across his lips. “Call in sick,” he said, delivering a kiss to her fingertip.

“I have a flight I already paid for,” she protested.

“I’ll pay for another one.”

No way could she let him pay for her changing a flight. He’d paid for enough already. “My friends are waiting for me.” The guilt she felt for not hanging out with them stung. They were probably so mad at her.
